About the Alpha Course
Participants meet weekly, enjoy some tea/coffee and treats and listen to a presentation lasting around 25 minutes. They then break into smaller groups to discuss the presentation and any questions they may have concerning the topic introduced by it. It’s as simple as that.
The basic outline of the Course is as followers:
Week 1 Who is Jesus?
Week 2 Why did Jesus Die?
Week 3 How can we have Faith?
Week 4 Why and how do I Pray?
Week 5 Why and how should I read the Bible?
Week 6 How does God Guide us?
Week 7 Who is the Holy Spirit?
Week 8 What is the Church?
You can find out more information about the Alpha Course on its Irish website (www.alphacourse.ie) or just by googling it on your PC. The ‘What is Alpha?’ section on the official website is particularly helpful.
Our next Alpha Course will begin on Wednesday 16th April 2013 in the MCC Resource Centre, Main St, Maynooth. It will start each evening at 8.00pm with tea and coffee and finish at 9.30pm sharp. To allow us to prepare handouts and for catering purposes please let us know if you would like to come. You can do this either by sending us an email to our office (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by calling us on 01 5054990.
